A new sign and some motion sensors.

Today brought the addition of a new sign added to the gallows pole. As well as a hacked motion sensor, I rewired the motion sensor so it will stay in the test mode and only activate for 20 seconds at a time. I had to cut the coffin a little bit once its in place and dark it will go unnoticed.

Testing some props

Tonight I decieded to test some props to see which way I might go with them. I will post a video of the gallows pole and the cannon with a green light (didn't love it).

Coffin - A work in progress

In addition to the crows nest and gallows pole I was also hard at work on the coffin. You would have thought this was quite simple yet it turned out to be quite the oposite with the lid causing me quite a hassle. But it turned out pretty well as you will see in the pictures and video.

Crows Nest and the gallows

This has been a busy weekend with alot of building and some creative thinking. I decided that the boat wasn't enough and it needed a little extra, so I built a crows nest were a we will have a pirate holding an all night lookout. Once the crows nest was done I decided to to build a gollows pole for a prop we bought at Michaels craft store for 50% off. The overall effect really looks good at night but you can get an idea from the pictures.

Cannon almost ready for battle

I just thought I would add a photo of the cannon we made for the pirate theme. The cannon base was made from used pallet wood with the cannon section being a sono-tube cut down the middle and formed in the tapered shape!!! I will be adding more details to the cannon but you will have to wait until Halloween to see those.
